"Canada is a global leader in the promotion and protection of human rights," said SPCC President Bruce Duncan Skeaff. "That's something to celebrate.

"It's also a day to reflect on the work yet to be done to make Canada, Ontario and Stratford a place people feel safe to come to, whether to visit or to live in. Upswings in violence against members of Canada's LGBTQ+ citizenry, even here in our own community, are a serious problem as are those who, through their words and actions, would seek to deny all Canadians equal rights and freedoms under the law."

SPCC works to advance our community as a progressive, inclusive, and welcoming place to live, work, visit, or do business.

We are funded by United Way of Huron-Perth, TD Bank Group, Stratford Perth Community Foundation and all those businesses that subscribe to the Stratford Pride Guide annually.

"We're pleased to take this opportunity to parade through Stratford with likeminded Canadians who value the country we have built together and who look ahead and see what Canada can yet become."

See you on Canada Day!
